Starving?

Four objects conspiring to a vision of forced deprivation.

A table set with food that is definitely absent and at the same time present.

Romanesco broccoli as the expression of poignant perfection.

Deprivation as anger and pain: the colour red.

Technology interacts as a primary need, used to express and communicate.

The intensity of light changes according to your mood.

A table set with a transformed, sculptured dish: Romanesco Broccoli, the perfect exemplification of Fibonacci sequence.

The transparency of acrylic objects simulates the absence of a meal. Attention to detail and its graphic representation are testimony to the strong will of communication of this display, which boldly stimulates a dialogue with the visitors.

Are you starving? This is the provocative question for you to answer interacting with the installation’s light intensity. Colouring more or less intensely, the light source linked to a dedicated app, allows the visitor to express the sense of frustration determined by food deprivation.

Francesca Perani’s work thus emerges from the will to create direct interaction with the guests of the exhibition, from FIRMA’s www.firmasnc.it high end experience with plastic materials, and from Alessandro Argenio and Fabrizio Parodi‘s precious technical support, all conspiring towards the interconnectedness of the work. The internet of things.
